JEFFREY 100HP Wood Hog

The Jeffrey 34-WBS wood hog is a heavy-duty, industrial swing-hammer shredder designed for high-capacity wood waste reduction, bark grinding, and scrap processing.

Key Specifications & Capabilities

  • Grinding Capacity: Features a 34-inch wide intake capacity. It operates using a top-feed configuration for material entry and a bottom-discharge layout for the processed material.
  • Mechanism: Utilizes a swing-hammer design, which uses free-swinging hammers attached to a spinning rotor to crush, shred, and pulverize wood waste against internal breaker plates and sizing screens.
  • Power Configuration: Typically configured with a 100 HP electric motor. This setup is generally belt-driven rather than direct-drive, providing a mechanical buffer that protects the motor from sudden shocks or jams caused by heavy wood loads.
