More Than an Equipment Dealer
Ben Jones Machinery has served the lumber and wood-products industries since 1976. We buy, sell and broker machinery, maintain our own inventory, and have the shop facilities and experienced personnel to work directly with the equipment we sell.
Sales Service and SupportOur capabilities include machinery evaluation, repair and rebuilding, test running, conveyor and material-handling fabrication and modification, and preparation of equipment for shipment.
Machinery Purchasing and Brokerage
We purchase individual machines, groups of equipment and, when appropriate, complete plants or operations. We also broker machinery located at customer facilities throughout the United States.
Our customers are worldwide, and we regularly sell and ship machinery to buyers outside the United States.
Whether purchasing equipment for our own inventory or representing machinery for a customer, our knowledge of sawmill and wood-processing equipment helps us evaluate what is being offered, accurately represent it and determine how it can best be marketed.

Equipment Evaluation
Used machinery can vary considerably in condition, configuration and application.
Our experience allows us to identify equipment and components, document important specifications and evaluate how a machine is equipped. We work to give prospective buyers useful information about what is included and how the equipment was previously used.

Repair and Rebuilding
Our shop gives us the ability to do more than simply resell machinery in the condition in which we receive it.
Depending on the machine and project, Ben Jones Machinery can perform mechanical repairs, replace or fabricate components, and rebuild or recondition equipment to prepare it for resale and return to service.
We do not believe every used machine needs to be completely rebuilt. The objective is to determine what work is practical and makes economic sense for the equipment and its intended use.
Additional Capabilities
Test Running
When equipment is at our facility and conditions permit, we can often power and test-run machinery before it leaves.
A test run can help identify mechanical or operational issues and gives a prospective buyer an opportunity to better understand the condition and operation of the equipment before shipment.
Equipment Removal
Buying industrial machinery is only part of the job. It still has to come out of the plant.
When machinery must be dismantled and removed from an operating facility, we work with experienced industrial rigging companies for the removal of individual machines, production lines and complete operations. Our familiarity with the equipment helps us work with the parties involved so machinery can be properly prepared for transportation and eventual reinstallation.
Conveyor and Material Handling Fabrication
Ben Jones Machinery has in-house fabrication capabilities with particular experience in conveyors and material-handling equipment for the wood-products industry.
We frequently modify conveying equipment to suit a customer's particular application. Depending on the equipment, this may include changes in width, length, height, speed, drive or power requirements. We also fabricate selected new conveyors and material-handling equipment when an existing piece of equipment is not the right fit for the application.
Loading Shipping and Export
For machinery located at our facility, our equipment and personnel allow us to prepare and load many machines directly for shipment.
We can also assist with trucking and transportation arrangements when needed. For international customers, we have experience preparing and loading machinery into shipping containers for export.
Experience You Can Put to Work
Since 1976, Ben Jones Machinery has worked with sawmills and other wood-products operations. That experience can be particularly valuable when a customer is trying to determine whether a particular used machine will fit an existing operation, what may need to be repaired or rebuilt, or how equipment and material handling can be incorporated into a production system.
If you are looking for machinery, selling surplus equipment, upgrading an operation or trying to solve a production or material-handling problem, talk with Ben Jones Machinery.
