Morbark 58" Chipper

The Morbark 58" Chipper is a heavy-duty industrial disc chipper designed for high-volume sawmill and wood-processing applications. A major advantage of this machine is its exceptionally large throat opening — approximately 15" x 34" — among the largest available in the 58–60" chipper class.

The large throat allows the chipper to accept slabs and edgings up to approximately 34" wide and roundwood up to approximately 15" diameter, reducing the need to trim, split or rehandle oversized material before it reaches the chipper.

The chipper is equipped with a 6-knife disc configuration. Operating at approximately 720 RPM, the 58" diameter disc provides the cutting capacity and inertia needed for continuous, high-volume processing of slabs, edgings, trimmings, roundwood and other wood waste.

Actual chipper production depends on the complete application. Knife configuration, disc speed, chip length, throat opening, feeding method, horsepower and the type and size of material being processed all affect capacity.
